With your support, the Hanthorn Cannery Foundation will continue to build on the memories and realities of the fishing industry as well as preserve history in its last remaining facility at Pier 39.

Cannery Woman's Statue and Park
A life size statue of a cannery woman in her work outfit holding a fish and a filet knife, which represents the incredible endurance and sacrifice of the lady cannery worker.  Memorial names and name placards for eternity will be available. 
Interpretive Educational Center
While preserving and communicating this generation of industry, a museum and theater will allow visitors to relive and learn its importance to our working waterfront heritage. 
College Scholarships for Children of Cannery Workers
Recognizing that many of the workers in these facilities put themselves through school, working in incredible conditions, the Foundation will award one or more annual scholarships.
